My 9300T appears to be blocking freeview signals to my Panasonic TX -32LMD70A. This is new after 5 yrs working together. I have changed the male/female connection lead from the 9300 to the tv but the problem persists, so this is not at fault. When I connect the ariel to the tv I get freeview. When I connect it to the 9300 & add the male/female lead I get tv pictures only when the 9300 is switched on. When off I see a No Signal message. Is there a fix?

Power saving in standby has possibly been enabled.

Usual fix to try for odd situations.

1 Power off at mains for 10 minutes

    2 Reset to factory defaults.

When you say switched on do you mean “electrical power applied” or do you mean “active” (rather than in standby)?

The 9300 is on standby usually but when not use I always switch off at the mains plug…this applies to the dvd & tv also when not in use.

However, while I was watching a dvd I unplugged the 9300. After the dvd finished I plugged the 9300 in. The No signal message was there so I added new freeview services & Bingo….they’re back as usual when the 9300 is on standby.

Martin – electrical power applied. You’ll see I have freeview again now when on standby so Graham’s fix has worked. Why did this work I’m wondering?
