New to the forum and not too technically savvy, so sorry for the question if the answers obvious, but how do I perform a factory reset and a HDD format.
I’ve looked through the various menus but can’t find anything…
Welcome to the Forum
Instructions below, but have to ask why you want to do this?
Factory Default and HDD are in same menu so:
Press Settings button on remote
Then highlight System settings – press OK
Highlight Factory default – press OK
Reset system should be highlighted – press OK
Yes should be highlighted – press OK
Enter password (default password is 0000 (4 zero’s))
Continue will be highlighted press OK
Format HDD
Press Settings button on remote
Then highlight System settings – press OK
Highlight Storage – press OK
Highlight HDD – press OK
Highlight Start disk format – press OK
Enter pin as before
Continue should be highlighted – press OK
Disk will now format, and a processing message should appear on screen.
Never ne afraid to ask what you might think is obvious on here, we are a friendly bunch in the main.

Just come to do the dirty deed and the only options in my Settings, System Setting are Power Saving; Automatic Standby and Powerdown Mode????

Is the box recording at the time or one due within 15 mins ?
Ah…!
Wifey’s sneaked in and set it to record two channels at the mo.
(Won’t say which two, far too embarrassing!)
