Hello fellow Humaxers (if that is the appropriate plural?)

I’ve recently purchased a 2000T to replace my dying Topfield TF5800PVR and have a few questions to aim at the appropriate forum section but I thought a quick intro might be in order.

Many years ago I used to work for ST Microelectronics on STB chips so have worked with Humax engineers before; very bright chaps and a pleasure to work with. Now I work at a major supplier of head-end compression equipment and systems, so see things from the broadcaster’s perspective.

I guess the adage about a mechanic’s car being the worst maintained is a little true of me, as I’ve only recently made the jump to HD equipment at home. I blame that on watching too much TV at work (I know, it’s a burden).
