Just upgraded to freetime. HDR1000s. Can anyone tell me if it’s normal for humax box to go into standby when we use tv remote to put tv in standby mode. Also, when we decide to watch tv when they are both in standby, have found that by switching on humax box, it also switches tv back on. This didn’t happen with our previous box. Any input would be appreciated.

It is a feature called HDMI-CEC.

You can disable this by changing a TV setting, What it is called depends on your TV brand. See WikipediA

    Welcome to the Forum :-)

Yes it is normal if you have HDMI CEC turned on on the TV.

Called different names depending on manufacturer eg:

    Panasonic – Veira link

    LG – Simplink

    Sony – Bravia Sync

    Toshiba – Regza Link

Snap – Repassac quicker with the typing :-)
