InactiveAnyone know how to get aerial loopthrough working on this unit ?
No standby power option like Fox HDR T2.
Also front usb port very tight, some sticks wont fit.

ModeratorWelcome to the Forum

Only option for loop thru’ presently is to leave unit switched on.

InactiveI have seen a post on the AVforums site (HERE), that says Humax are aware of the problem and will add UHF pass through in standby to a later release of firmware, can anyone confirm this?

ModeratorCan’t confirm when it will be fixed, but Humax Towers are certainly aware.

InactiveI cured the no loop through problem with a Vivanco Ariel splitter, feeding one side direct into the TV and the other into the Humax 2000. It works flawlessly for me with no degradation in signal strength. The splitter was £5.00

InactiveNews of any update to enable loopthrough much appreciated. Was frankly astonished that this wasn’t available out of the box.

Route the aerial signal in and out of one device to another such as a TV or another recorder.

Someone over on AVForum has quoted a response from Humax that the design intent was never to have aerial loopthrough in standby and it will not be fixed. Can you confirm if this is correct?

ModeratorLast time I spoke with Humax Towers on the subject (not support line) the intention was to engineer a fix if possible.
Will try and get an update next week.

InactiveI had the same problem and got a useful reply from Humax:
Dear Dave,
Thank you for contacting Humax Support.
The RF loopthrough currently only works when the Humax is switched on. We will indeed be adding this feature to work when also in standby.
The update will hopefully be available in April and will automatically download to your system.
Best Regards,
John M
Humax Customer Support
If someone sees the fix implemented before I do, perhaps you could let all of us know, because I asked John M if he could do it and this was his response:
Dear Dave,
Unfortunately I would be unable to do so. We have been told that the update should be available for April.
We will normally put information up online on the likes of Facebook and twitter when new updates are available so it might be worth keeping an eye out on those.
Best regards
Dave
