Other half has just bought Humax Freetime 500GB box. He has plugged in and got it working. However when the TV programmes are displayed the time is 2 hours behind what it should be. Where does he change the time?

    Cheers

Hi welcome to the forum. A tad puzzled (you are in the UK ?), if you press pause while watching a live broadcast what time does the on screen digital clock top left say ? It should be the current correct BST time.

No we are in France. I have same box with 1TB and it displays UK time on programmes but his is an hour behind that. Both boxes bought from UK.

Has he by any chance set up the box as a Free To Air box by using manual tune. If so need to switch the box back to Freesat mode.

No he wouldn’t know how to – technophobe. He just plugged it in – it works fine but the time is wrong. It comes up with the usual Freetime logo.

Baffled – If he watches say 108 (BBC1-HD) and presses pause, what time does the on screen clock say.

Where are you reading the time from ? What version of software does settings General Info report the box has ?

If you turn off power saving in sby and put the box in sby what time is displayed on the front panel ?

See a post on this before – a standby cycle cured it.

Presume the time zone (GMT/BST) is set at boot time before it gets the EPG time.

Thanks guys. Due to thunderstorms last night he switched everything off and voila it has rectified itself today. He’s a very happy bunny. I’m sure there may well be more questions to follow.

    Cheers
