Ive just tried to set a recording on BBC1WM tonight (Football League Show) and I get the attached error when i select "record whole series"
The 2 programmes listed are not in my schedule and it wont allow me to cancel them – when i click on them to cancel it just moves back to the top of the list.
Strangely – if I set it for BBC1HD then I dont have the issue…
I have tried a factory reset (which has cleared my schedule list) but the problem still remains…….
Any ideas how to remove the "ghost" reservations or is it likely to just be a error with BBC1WM series link code.
Im recording it on BBC1HD at the moment..

It is because the programme next week on the 21st only has series crid data currently annotated to it, and therefore the unit is trying to set to many timers. Only solution is to set just a one off timer for this week and hope the BBC correct it for next week.

Understanding how crid codes work can be very handy sometimes.
Series recording is achieved by using a pair of codes known as crid’s (Content Reference Identifier). All episodes the broadcaster considers to be part of a series has the same series crid. Each individual episode has a unique programme crid.
When you select a programme to record and choose the series option. The box finds the earliest occurrence of that series crid and schedules that recording (this may not be the one you clicked on if there is an earlier one still in the epg).
After the recording is complete, the box looks for an entry with the same series crid and a different programme crid (that’s how repeats of the episode you have just recorded aren’t recorded)
If it finds one that episode is added to your schedule. If it doesn’t find one it will continue looking for 13 weeks. After this time it will delete itself.
That’s why you will find expired series recordings in your planner. if you don’t want to wait 13 weeks then you can just delete them.
