My Foxsat HDR has started to display alternate white noise followed by a poor image alternating at about 1 second intervals.

Sometimes it clears, but recently the unit has had to be powered off, and even then does not always start up with good video.

My other receiver works fine off the same satellite, so I swapped units to eliminate cabling/TV issues. The other unit functions perfectly.

Has anyone else had this fault. If it is electronic failure, where can I get the unit repaired?

Not seen this reported before. Try making a note of your recording schedule (you will lose this plus any non-freesat channels you may have added) and carry out a factory reset.

Done that already. Made absolutely no difference.

Have you tried a new HDMI cable ?

In my original note, I did state that I had replaced the unit with another which functioned without issue. As it happens, I have two HDMI inputs to my TV, and I tried both, with identical results.

I also tried the unit on another TV – effectively a completely separate system.

Thus, I have been able to isolate the fault to the unit itself.

A tad confused, Is the other unit also a Foxsat-HDR ?. By unit do you mean you used the same hdmi cable or another one ? When you tried the Foxsat-hdr on another TV did you use the same hdmi cable again ?
