InactiveHi
Our venerable Humax 9200T finally expired last week. I have been looking at the Humax HDR Fox T2 HD recorder. Argos have it listed twice:
1) @£199.99 as stock clearance – cat no 532/2604 – mostly only avaulable for home delivery
2) @179.99 as new item – cat no 114/4697 NOT IN STOCK
Please could someone clarify whether these are the same item or not, as I cannot find any reference to Humax producing a replacement model?
Many thanks

InactiveI think the only people that could probably tell you is Argos. They seem to have done something similar with the Humax youview box.

I would assume the second item is erroneous, no such model as the HDR-2000T (or HDR-2000T T2) …
I would recommend getting a Humax HDR-FOX T2 from Amazon.co.uk

I’ll come clean….
The HDR 2000T is in development though it is not due to launch just yet.

ParticipantOh, OK. A new model at a lower price… doesn’t sound promising…

ModeratorDon’t read to much into the Argos spiel, about the only thing they have correct is the model number.

InactiveThe Argos site has a picture of the HDR Fox T2 on the HDR 2000T page, so I guess they haven't got a picture of the new model yet

Thanks for that Barry!
Unless my eyes were deceiving me yesterday evening, Argos were advertising both as HDR FOX-T2!

A guess then: 2000 = 2TB? 😉

InactiveAny idea as to whether this new unit is likely to be an addition to the range or a replacement for a current model?

InactiveI checked all the Argos stores in my region and only one was showing the HDR2000T and they had only one in stock at £179. I reserved it and collected it later. As we expected it was in fact an HDR Fox T2. I used my wife’s Nectar card which we have never used for money off before and I was pleasantly surprised to receive £40 off the Humax plus a £10 voucher off my next Argos purchase. All set up this afternoon without a hitch. Just a matter of familiarisation now.
I think I might use the £10 Voucher towards a Humax USB WiFi Dongle. Any advice on the Dongle?
