Can someone tell me in concise terms what the side effects are of doing a Factory Reset, like will we lose all the recorded programmes currently held on the hard disc? I know we have to do the reset for the box to recognise the additional LMB that we are about to add (bigger disc plus a double LMB to replace single one) but I just want to be aware of all the effects this will have.
You will loose any settings you have made and also your schedule.
You retain recordings on a factory reset but if you are putting in a bigger disk then they will be on an encrypted partition on the old disk and useless (while not inside the HDR-1000S).
Thanks for this. I actually made a typo in my original post – I meant say we are putting in a bigger dish not disc so your last comments won’t be a concern for us. But thanks again.
