Could not turn the unit on again this morning. Just no response red light on front on – nothing in the display. Turned the power switch off and left for 5 mins. Turned power back on – no change. Had to do this process 4 times before it finally switched on. Can anybody please tell me what is causing this. Also don’t seem to be receiving any updates – still shows the original date in the menu section for updates.
Do you leave the box in sby overnight ? If you don’t then you won’t get updates to the software, or channel line up changes if the software you have is a later one.
What version of software and loader does Menu/System/diagnostics say you have ?
latest software is 1.00.21 27 JUL 2012
Yes it is always left on standby – usually recording most nights – but not usually after 23:30. The last time it did this it took ages for me to get it to turn on and then I found that it had deleted all my set for recording and we missed some .
