    Hi

I am new to the forum. Hope someone can help I have Humax Freesat Top Box and during the last week or so I have been having problems playing back TV recordings which I have recorded on the hard drive of the top box recorder. The picture and sound appears to freeze and break up and at the time this is happening the remote will not work. There does not appear to be a pattern where it happens on one channel only. I am well confused and very frustrated.

Look forward to hearing from someone!!

    Best Regards

It sounds like a hard drive problem. I think you alternatives are to format the drive (which will of course delete the recordings) or install the custom firmware and use fix-disk.

    Hi

Thank you for you prompt response – firstly if I install the custom firmware and use fix-disk, would I still lose the recordings. Secondly, how do I do this, Thirdly, not sure why, but it seems to right itself at times, not sure what or if I did anything different, any suggestions

    Regards

The whole point of fix-disk is that as far as possible you should not lose recordings.

Secondly, how do I do this

Try Link to AVForums for Raydon Custom Firmware
