when i watch a film in file format h.264 the pictures great but there,s no sound any ideas !!!!!

Which Humax product, and how are you viewing, streaming over network or via usb?
hi sorry the product is the hdr 1000s and the problem is with portable hard drive via usb for some reason it works fine with other video formats but not h.264 i get picture but no sound help

H264 isn’t likely to be the issue (it’s the native video format used by HD TV). Most likely reason is the audio format. At a guess the audio is a non supported standard like DTS. If so you will need to replace the audio track with a compatible format.
My hdr works OK with AC3 (Dolby Digital), AAC and MP2. It doesn’t decode DTS or pass it one to an AV amp with a DTS decoder.
Use Medianinfo to analyse what your files contain (Full details in treeview).
