Hi there, 6 months ago bought a freesat setup, a humax recorder with a triax multi room box thing to i could connect it to the bedroom without the need for a 2nd box …..

everything has been working fine, but now the remote control will not work from the bedroom, the picture and sound are perfect but we have to go into the living room ( where the box is) to change channels .

The green light is out on the eye in the bedroom, i have tried several different eyes and nothing seems to be powered up , Ive not touched or changed anything , is there anyone with any help please as i cant seem to find anything on google , and triax customer service dosent exist

    many thanks in advance

    Brooke

Check the coax connectors carefully. The triax unit provides 9V DC power for the magic eye. If you have a badly fitted connector then it’s common to lose dc continuity. The centre core on Belling Lee connectors should be soldered for this reason especially when the coax is being used to provide power.

hi Graham. cut off the wire connected to the coax connector going to the triax box and refitted it, put it in and hey presto it works !!!

many thanks graham your advice was spot on :o)
