Hi Folks
My HDR Fox T2 has been stuck in zoom for a couple of days. In settings I have it on 16:9 Auto but changing that changes nothing. The Wide button on remote does nothing. My TV is on 16:9 Auto and changes as normal when tweeked. Have been using both machines together for about a year with no problem – tho to be honest I doubt I have ever changed these screen settings. Normally view all TV progs thro my PVR for simplicity’s sake. Am I missing an obvious solution?

The Humax should ideally be set on 16:9 Pillarbox, otherwise 4:3 programmes will not be displayed correctly.
Thanks for that but I cannot get the Humax to change at all – either through Settings or the remote “Wide” button. It looks to me as if it is frozen in 14:9 aspect.

Problem solved via Humax helpline. Changed connection from HDMI to SCART and all back to normal thank goodness!!
Have you disconnected the Scart cable, and reconnected your HDMI cable again? as using the Scart connection instead of HDMI will result in poorer picture and sound quality.
HDMI still gives smaller skewed picture so I’ll stick to SCART and TBH I don’t really see any difference in quality though I know HDMI should be better.
So you haven’t solved the problem then, just chosen to ignore it. If you watch or record the HD channels, viewing via scart will be of noticeably inferior quality.
