Bought my box just over a month ago. It was only working on one tuner.Humax sent replacement (Refurb-wasn, t happy about this). Now just over a fortnight later the refurb is dead!, no standby light (power supply working), nor any hard disc spin up noise.
Has anyone had this problem?
Is the Hdr-1000s a flawed product?
Will be onto Humax first thing tomorrow!
Not exactly the same, but I had a 1TB delivered Wednesday, by Saturday it died.
Constant crashing, non recognisable hard drive, dodgy HDMI when using 1080p & failure to load on demand.
I’m getting a swap out for a 500gb box today along with a £40 refund from Richer Sounds.
I wouldn’t like to say if the 1000s is a flawed product or just isolated issues, but it certainly doesn’t look too promising when you read forums like these with similar issues.
On the bright side at least Humax offer a 2 year warranty so they can just keep replacing boxes if need be.
Contacted Humax Support earlier today & have promised me a brand new box (supposedly) as this will be my 2nd replacement box !
We’ll just have to wait & see what Thursday brings as it takes 2 days to replace a box in Northern Ireland (where Humax Support Call Centre is Based) not next day like the mainland.
Update:
Not being replaced until Friday!
