    Just bought a Humax HDR1000S 500GB but need to wait until Friday to hook it up to the communal satellite feed where I live.

    I have the Quick Start guide and the Freetime guide – is there a proper technical manual for this kit?

    I would like to know more about the connectors on the rear of the box. Can the USB connector be used to back up files from the hard drive?

    Documentation – You have all that is available.

    USB – Presently for viewing content contained on any HDD you connect ie photos, music, video.
