    I get a issue when switching HDMI inputs on my tv back to the HDR after using my xbox when the HDR is recording whereby the display will flash up for a millisecond and then go blank for around 5 seconds and repeat.

    This seems to be indicative of the HDMI negotiation failing.

    To resolve it, I put the box in and out of (soft) standby which must reset the negotiation.

    Question is though, is this my box or the TV? I would think it is the box. And if it is the box, is it firmware or hardware that’s at fault?

    The TV in question is a Samsung PS42C450 on the latest firmware.

    Try cycling the resolution using the v-format button.

    Thanks Graham. Not had chance to replicate and test yet. Will try tonight.

    Just realised that i never confirmed that the above fixed it.

    I’ve had the problem a few times since, and I can confirm cycling the res with the v-format button does indeed resync the hdmi connection.

    Barry, is this issue going to be fixed in a future update?

    There appears to be more reports of HDMI issues with Samsung tv’s then any other brand – for all Humax HDMI products. Will highlight to them again.
