InactiveTuner 1 (sat in 1) .. very good strength and quality….. tuner 2 (sat in 2) nil… now when I switch the wires around and put the coax in the opposite slots in the back I get nil strength/quality in either.
Is it possible that SAT in 2 is faulty.. I have renewed the connections, and they seem fine.. basically I can’t record unless I watch the same channel.. was told it’s down to Tuner 2 strength being nil?
Thanks in advance.

ModeratorSee FAQ re tuner 2 indication.
Note in the signal detection menu it should state 2 cables if all is well.
You could try a factory reset see if that improves the situation as perhaps one of your connections was not working correctly during intial set up.

ParticipantStart with the connections that gave you the working tuner 1.
Carry out a factory reset, if both are working during the reset you should see both tuners have a signal.
After this go to Diagnostics. Tuner 1 should show a signal and you should also have a message at the bottom of the screen saying 2 cables connected.
Now go back to live viewing and press record.
Bring up diagnostics again, both tuners should now show a signal.
Post what happens.

InactiveThanks for your help.. I reset and it said both had a signal.. when I’ve gone to system info it says only one tuner has a signal but at the bottom says ‘freesat box connected with 2 cables’
…. as if by magic whilst typing tuner 2 has clicked into action,.. and now has a signal.. am assuming this is because I set it to record river monsters which has just started?

ParticipantAre you recording just one channel ?
Press recordings and select recent. Is there two with a recording symbol next to it ?

InactiveI have just recorded one channel and watched another and it seems to be ok, am assuming when recording two you need to watch one or the other?

No but depending on what you are recording the choice may be limited.
Try recording BBC1-HD and BBC-HD (just tune to the channels and press record). Now tune to any other channel and press pause

You should be able to record both BBC1-HD (108) and BBC-HD (109) and do the same. Try ITV1-HD (119)
