This was included in my purchase from Amazon, when I bought my Humax HD Fox T2. I have tried to configure the wifi connection, but none of my attempts have succeeded. Do I need to instal some software or can anyone tell me how to configure this adapter to access my TV portal?

Can you state the exact model number of the adapter, some work some do not, and recent posting history on this very forum would appear to show there maybe some duff adapters in circulation.

That is one of the models that should work, but also the one a few of us have had trouble with, appears to be a bad batch in circulation.

However the next question is what version of software does the T2 have?

It needs 1.02.20 or later for wifi dongle support.

I have tried to update the software with the current version online, but nothing seemed to happen. I followed the instructions and put the update on a usb stick and then switched the Humax on. All the multi usb connections now work, but the dongle does not and I could not see any changes with regards to the update.

It still shows as a manual configuration for wifi, but I have tried all the various versions and still the connection fails.

I have given up trying to connect using the wifi and will have to resort to trying to stretch the ethernet cable across somehow.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Using Ethernet was the best move I have made with my hdr500s.
