Have started having problems with the box receiving commands from the remote. Have to hold the remote less than 6″ from receiver for it to work. Kind of defeats the point. Have tried a factory reset on the box and resetting the remote as it says on support site, but no improvement. The remote works fine controlling the TV from across the room son don’t think it is the remote. Am open to any ideas?
I always hate having to ask one of these questions, but have you tried putting new batteries in the remote? 😳
The batteries in mine are going after just a few months which is often the way with those supplied. Replacing with new batteries of reputable brand and reliable source (ie not “Durasell” off the market) and you will get years of use from them.
Tried new batteries and made no difference. Have spoken to BT who I got the box off and they are sending out a new remote. Whether this sorts the problem I’ll have to wait till the 28th.
