    The site linked to is still under developement, all products had the same spec, it has been changed now though.

    The unit is the same under the cover, just a front facia change.

    Looks like the BURNING RING OF DISTRACTION has been removed. Does this mean it has an alternate way of showing it is in standby, or on, or even recording?

    The unit in standby just has a glowing standby icon on the far left hand side and nothing when on. If you look at the unit direct on, the writing appears in the silver bezel with no obvious surrounding screen which is nice, but go side on and you can see all the tiny dots that let the light through; looks great, very retro. Not sure if it has the same ‘burning ring’ though.

    The unit is exactly the same internally, just a different design, which should suit some. Price would have been similar to the existing 1TB version but Humax have hiked the price this week presumably to ensure it is sold as a premium model, not a replacement.
