watching recorded material picture glitches every so often, black screen, no sound etc, I’m using raydon firmware and i can watch recordings perfectly using vlc media player plug-in on my laptop, I live beside a very busy road, is it possible to get electrical interferance from passing cars.

Hi welcome to the forum. I would have thought that any such interference was more likely to affect live viewing. Do you get similar if viewing via scart and is it repeatable at the same point if you rewind playback a bit ?

using scart it was perfect, which ruled out hard drive problem but when i went back to hdmi cable it was the same old story, glitching and no sound, I happened to have a spare hdmi cable lying around so I swapped it with existing one in box and hey presto everything played as it should, no glitching etc, so moral of story is don’t buy hdmi cables from 2 euro shop. Many thanks to Graham for prompt reply and troubleshooting tips.
