InactiveIs anyone else getting this? See my attached image.
On the Signal Info page my Tuner 2 is reporting as no signal even though it says 2 cables connected. To be sure I swapped around the satellite cables and everything was still working fine.
Maybe it’s because the 2nd tuner isn’t actually doing anything at this point? Seems odd though.

When I ran through the installation process it showed both tuner signal strengths no problems.
Worth reporting to HUMAX?

InactiveI have the same issue
i.e signal reporting ‘no signal’
and wondered if it had anything to do with a couple of instances of
‘failed’ recordings for ITV HD Inspector Banks
also recording of Body of Proof was 3hours 13 minutes !! on the same days as the failed recordings
Barry should I be posting these other probs on another thread ?
Also notification icon appears even when no notifications are set

Can you try tuning to say BBC1-HD and press record, now tune to ITV1-HD and start a second recording.
Now Settings System Information Signal Info. What Strength/Quality do you get for both tuners ?
Does it say at the bottom Freesat box connected with 2 cables ?

Inactivewill try that this evening graham. It does say freesat connected with 2 cables.
when I set up got good for both tuners for both strength and quality.
First time I checked tuner 1 had ‘no signal’ second time I checked tuner 2 had ‘no signal’.
The reason I checked was following two failed recordings combined with 3 hour recordings of the other intended channel recording.

InactiveThought I'd check it out and as both Barry and Graham confirmed when both tuners are being used both show on the signal display screen.

Moderator1. There is at least one report in another place of someone having issues with DCI Banks, and I presume on a G1 product from their profile. As my recording of the same programme is complete, can only assume a regional broadcast issue?
2. Body of Evidence I presume is a runaway timer, did not record it and no idea what duration or channel it was on.
3. As ever we are dependant on broadcasters providing the correct info for the EPG, and to give an example of where something can go wrong:
Channel Five appear to have changed the series code for Home and Away from next Monday, if users do not spot this sort of thing themselves then timers will obviously fail.

InactiveBarry I do appreciate there are a number of causes for probs and I do try to eliminate most, but when you have a brand new product thats why I appreciate having this forum to share probs and get answers.
Its called self preservation because the wife complains to me and if I can’t fix it heads will roll !
Body of Proof is on 5USA from 9 till 10 pm. I’m not sure what you mean by runaway timer.
I’m in East Midlands.

A runaway timer is where a recording continues long after the actual end of the recorded program.

Runaway timer is where for some reason either the box has missed the AR flag to indicate the programme has finished or the broadcaster has failed to transmit it.
Channel 5 (and derivatives) are by far the worst at getting the series crid codes right.
I only record the CH 5 lunchtime pair of soaps for the better half. Gave up using series recording long ago as they simply can’t get the codes right. I now use a pair of purely manual recording reservations with a daily repeat. Incidentally CH5 and the others have by far the worst picture of any of the big five (Too many channels on a single transponder).

InactiveI have reset box and proved I have 2 inputs both good/normal. I set one channel to record and got tuner1 good/good tuner2 no signal.
Then with tuner 1 still recording viewed different channel and got signal info for both tuners. Barry is right unless its working a tuner will register ‘no signal’.

Inactivehttp://myhumax.org/forum/topic/tuner-signal-strength-indicators
I have also seen this reversed (Tuner 2 showing signal, Tuner 1 not). The key thing to look for is the message at the foot of the screen confirming two tuners.
