InactiveHi
My tv portal doesn’t work. When I go into it I get a message saying an error has occurred while launching the application. I then press exit and it goes back to the tv. Humax told me to do a factory reset but has made no difference. Has anyone had this problem? Could it be my internet settings? Thanks. Martin.

Could it be my internet settings?
Quite possibly but you need to tell us what the settings are for someone to comment.

No gateway and DNS would fail it. Where can the packets go?

Something very wrong there. How is the Humax connected to your network?

InactiveThat 169.254.xxx cannot be correct – its the format of an allocation used to fudge an IP address where the DHCP cannot find a server (typically seen in Windows installations). I think the mask for that should also be 255.255.255.0 for that IP address.
What we need is the LAN-side address range used by the router, so that, if necessary, the IP address can be made static (which can help problems)

InactiveThe box is connected to my network with a Devlo powerline adaptor.
When I first got this it worked fine with iplayer etc, then suddenly stopped. have checked adaptor and cable and everything seems fine.
I dont know much about internet connections etc so if you could explain simply that would be great!

InactiveIt would appear that your DHCP server on your router is not longer active.
If you have done nothing I would reboot your router and if that does not work reset it to factory settings. See Router documentation.
