Is the YouView content worth an extra £50 over the price of the Fox T2 500?
I would have expected a 1TB option too, maybe that’s coming.

I voted YES but ONLY if the YV box had exactly the same PVR facilities as the FOX T2.
You and others might be a tad disappointed then.

Personally I very rarely use vod catch up services. In the rare event that I do, there is now so many sources that it wouldn’t be worth it.
For instance in my setup.
Laptop connected by hdmi to AV system
Foxsat-hdr
Virgin SD Box
HD FOX T2
PS3
Smart TV.

I’m abstaining on this one.
I’m unlikely to buy an HD recorder personally in the near future but do advise others on prospective purchases.
I have all the catchup options I need between my connected Bravia TV, Blu-ray player and my VM Tivo and V+ box, not to mention various sizes and OS’s of computers/smartphones.
I think this is not easy question – YouView has a lot of unrealised potential that can added to this stb by YouView directly (as I understand things) – do you rate now or consider the potential for apps etc and more.

Would have said yes untill I read the above post, Now I will wait a while, But only any good for me when I am in the UK
I dont use catchup services much. Looking through the guide on screen or printed I manage to catch most recording I want. I like the ability to see YouTube though but you get that on the T2. I have been known to look at iPlayer but that is usually when not much else is on worth watching. So the YV box is not worth an extra £50 even if the record options were the same which they dont seem to be reading this thread.
