I cant find the setting to tell the Humax 5300c that the sound should go through hdmi to my TV. Am I stupid, or is there no sound through hdmi on the 5300c. Am I missing something? I already tried to reset to factory settings and other obvious solutions…..Please help.
Have you tried a different HDMI input socket on the TV? There is usually one which is designed for connection to a computer which does not carry sound but which uses a separate cable for that if needed.
I kept it in the same socket as my old decoder went, which had sound. Is it possible that the 5300c doesnt output sound through hdmi, or should it work?
Sorry, not familiar with that model as it is not sold in the UK.
A factory reset of my TV apparently did the trick. Thx for the help and suggestions.
