    Hi All.

I’ve had a PVR-8000T for many years & always been really happy with it.

Since the digital switchover in Londan, I can’t receive the usual freeview.

Does anyone know if this model was only designed to convert the old anologue signal to digital?

Hi welcome to the forum. I have a 8000T in my study it works fine with Freeview (post dso transmitter Lark Stoke West Midlands).

You may need to manually tune it to your local transmitter.

The 8000T has a digital DVB-T tuner. It never was able to work with analogue signals.

    Fantastic news Graham.

I would be sad to lose the use of the box, it’s served me very well over the years.

    Many thanks – Steve

OK I got to the bottom of it. Folowing many attempts to retune. Somehow the settings had become jumbled. Once I returned to default settings, all the usual channels appeared in all their former glory. I’m really grateful to have stumbled across this helpful forum & really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my query Graham. Nice one & thanks again.

    Great news :-)

The 8000T was my first pvr :-), it was a revelation at the time (no more trying to find the right tape amongst loads of others.

My old 8000T is still doing stirling service at a friend’s house … at least until I get round to installing my second Toppy which is now surplus to my requirements.
