Hi bought this Humax FVP-4000t on the off chance that it was a matter of upgrading software but its stuck on updating screen and wont turn on to let me into menu just red light is there anyway of getting it to turn on so I can get it to the menu. Had a good go of trying but I think its beyond repair hoping somepone might know a method of getting it started again Thanks in advance

Without loader software the box cannot even start to boot. you cannot even update the software.

At a guess the flash RAM where the firmware is stored has either failed or been massively corrupted. I don’t think anything other than a new motherboard will help.
You could be right. The search I did the other day suggested that the error code could be due to a corrupt firmware installation. Can’t think of an obvious way to recover from that.
