Our old HDR-FOX T2 (1TB) has problems synchronising subtitle dialogue during playback. It frequently shows the text a few seconds ahead of time. We have tried powering off and changing font from variable to fixed but nothing fixes it.
We are considering replacing the box with a new one. Can anyone recommend a DVR that can handle subtitles properly?

It may be how it was broadcast. I often notice it, especially in news bulletins where they have a recorded report.
Thanks for the suggestion but I’m sure it isn’t as broadcast. We notice it mostly on films and TV drama. If we pause, re-wind and play there is an immediate improvement but it doesn’t last very long.
