When I press the OK button on my Foxsat HDR, it rarely responds. Is it user-repairable? (I have nothing to lose by trying but some guidance would be appreciated).
The remote has never been dropped and is in perfect condition, externally. All the other buttons work fine. When I press the OK button, the PWR indictaor on the remote doesn’t light and no signal is sent to the HDR (tested by shining the remote into a digital camera).
Actually, if I press OK hard enough and maybe hold it for a second or two, it usually does work. But, that way, I send multiple OKs which causes all manner of problems.
How does the remote come apart? I can’t see any screws and don’t know where to start levering it apart.
Once I’ve got it apart, maybe I just need to clean some contacts. What’s the best way? Isopropyl alcohol?
