    Hey good people of the freesat world!

    I have just purchased a humax freesat HDR

    I currently still have sky+ for a month

    Can I connect sky to the humax box?

    My remote control does not seem to work at all

    I have tried to follow various instructions but am lost!

    I have an lg hd tv 32le5900

    Can anyone help so I don’t waste a third evening on the Internet !!

    When you press a button on the remote control does the white pvr button flash red or another one. If not press the white pvr button and hopefully normal service will be restored.

    I have re associated the remote with the PVR.

    However still not clear on the Sky + thing.

    Any thoughts.

    Not sure what you are asking re connecting the sky box to the humax.

    If you mean can you connect via scart to record programmes onto the humax then no. If that is not what you meant, perhaps you could explain in more detail.

    Yes that is what I meant.

    So basically are you saying you can’t have both plugged in at once?

    Can I not receive the sky channels via the humax box?

    Very confusing

    Any other question, why are the channel listing so muddled on the humax and start with 5000….

    How do you just get the main channels to list first?

    You have somehow managed to get your box into non-freesat mode (did you do a manual tune). In Menu settings change the box mode back to Freesat. If you extra cables from the lnb on the dish you can use both at once.

    You can have both plugged in at once if you have a quad LNB and 4 feeds from the dish. (or use both in single cable mode)

    You cannot receive the sky channels on the humax box as you would need a CAM slot.

    You can still receive the sky channels on the sky+ box (subject to LNB capability).

    You can have both connected to the TV at the same time subject to available sockets.

    The humax cannot record from the scart socket, only from broadcasts. If you can get the recordings from the sky+ box to your PC you may be able to convert them for upload to the humax. see the blog posts here (link)
