I’ve connected my FOX T2 to my surround sound system using an optical cable.

When I view a SD channel I get the sound out of the surround sound but I get no sound out of the TV which is fine.

But when I view a HD channel I get the sound out of the surround sound and also the same sound out of me TV speakers so I have to mute the TV.

This also happens if I record a program on a HD channel.

Why do I get sound out the surround sound and TV when viewing a HD channel but only from the surround sound when viewing a SD channel?

    Thanks

    Jon

It may be down to the way your TV works with AC3 audio (HD Channels) and lpcm (SD) audio. Oddly I would have expected the reverse. Very strange ? Check you have the hdr volume turned up using the hdrs remote. Having done so it’s likely the result will at least be consistant.
