When i go to programme guide to set recordings for the week,all i get is the message, waiting for recieving broadcast information,ive formatted the hard disk etc,any help would be great

The message should time out once the EPG has been refreshed, approx 30/40 seconds, you should then be able to set timers.
However there is a work around, press schedule then red for the cached EPG.
This change was introduced in the last update to try and overcome some broadcaster(s) changing NIT data at the last minute. It has proven to be unpopular, Humax are fully aware.
You should be able to set recordings after about 40 seconds (When the Receiving Programme Info message disappears). If it takes longer than 40 seconds try a freesat tune and exit after the search and choose not to save the results.
A better way though is press the Schedule button followed by Red which displays the cached epg instantly.
