    Hi folks,

I have Raydon’s software on my HDR and tried playing back the recordings on my Xoom tablet. The native player didn’t play the files at all, and Moboplayer could open the files, display still images from the file – but wouldn’t play as such. Has anyone had luck playing back recorded content on Android?

    thanks,

    Ben

“Hi, guys, this you may know already, but at the risk of stating the bl**ding obvious, I have been experimenting with getting this to work with Android. The obvious approaches all failed until I tried this.

    1. Put Twonky on your Humax HDR

    2. Install VPlayer on your Android device

    3. Install UPnPlay on your Android device

    4. Run UPnPlay. It should see the HDR’s Twonky server

    5. Browse into the folders of the server until you hit a video, and select it

    6. At the pop-up, select VPlayer to play it

It works for me on my Galaxy Tab. I don’t guarantee it will tomorrow, but it does now!”

Just incase anyones interested, MX Player for android works really well with pre recorded files and the buffer file, be it streaming over network or from the file on your android device.

Getting a tablet for my birthday torn between the ipad3 and the Samsung 10″ variants. Would have gone for ipad but dropping support for Google Maps has put me off somewhat. Any advice greatfully received.
