InactiveJust want to add one more voice to the lack of functionality of YouTube on my FVP4000T box.
Do Humax look at this forum – or do we have to grumble to them directly somewhere?

I’ve had an email back from Humax. They even asked me to let them know if it starts working again. So it doesn’t look as though they monitor this forum, or even keep their eye on the ball.
Here is the text of their email
“Thank you for contacting Humax, I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with your Humax equipment.
We are currently aware of an issue most of our customers are having in accessing the Youtube app on our boxes. Youtube are investigating the issue and we hope will restore the service sooner rather than later once the have identified what needs to be done to correct it. At this stage there is nothing that you will need to do other than occasionally trying the app to see if it works and if you could please advise us to any changes in regards to the situation.
As I said Youtube are working on the issue and will hopefully have the service restored for everyone soon.”
Their email for you to have a moan is

I doubt that Humax look at this forum these days so you need to complain to them directly.

InactiveSame problem with my 1100S box. Very frustrating, yes I can use a tablet to stream either directly to tv or via the Humax box, but I paid good money for my Humax Freesat & I am not forking more money for a new box, which is actually worse design. I love my 1100S, it does what I want it to do. Please Youtube fix problem asap. I have messaged Freesat yesterday. Hopefully they will reply to me + chase up matter for all users. John

InactiveYoutube stopped working on both my Humax boxes, HDR1000S and FVP4000T. Getting the same as others have reported with the grey screenfull of screens.

InactiveSorry to add yet another voice to this but I have exactly the same problem with my FPV-5000T which I bought less than a month ago.
YouTube was working fine then but is now showing the same message and screen as previously mentions.
I emailed Humax but as yet have not received a reply!

InactiveWe have a four year old FVP4000T on which up until a few days ago the Youtube app was working OK. When we start it now it says “You are being directed to Youtube, com” . It then comes up with a part populated screen app screen in which the box does not seem to recognise any key presses. Anyone else see this and aware of a solution?
Thanks
Peter

InactiveLet’s be clear, YouTube is not working on any Humax boxes, old or new, it seems.
Whether emailing Humax will do any good is debatable because from reading Post 61 it appears that they are well aware of the problem and believe that it is down to YouTube to rectify it.

InactiveGraham,
Thanks for the fast reply, good to see it is not just our box. It also looks as though the Youtube app on our Panasonic TV is not working. Our old Chromecast is OK so we can still watch the motor racing from Goodwood.

InactiveWould it be unfair to say they’re dragging their heels.

InactiveHumax emailed me to ask if the iPlayer issue had been resolved on my machine (FVP-5000) which was nice. I said it was working now but when was the permanent fix coming? And while you they are at it what’s the latest on the Youtube redirect issue. No reply on either topic as yet.

InactiveI can watch YouTube on my iPad but cannot cast to television. As with previous posts can only wait for YouTube to correct the problem.

Currently broken on Humax devices. What other kit do you have.
See this thread
https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/youtube-re-directing/page/9#post-80747
Still available on lots of other kit. There are lots of other ways. Without knowing what other kit you have that is connected to your home network hard to say.. TV’s smart phones, tablets etc.
