All appears to now be working re the YouTube search function (still have to scroll all the way down to get back to the home page instead of using the back button – but minor detail!!) Thanks!!

Hi Barry. Been having the disappearing letters etc in the youtube search for quite a while now. I was hoping an update would have become available via the software update on the box itself but still nothing and no mention of one on the main humax site (last update back in 2018).Any chance you could send me the update fix for a HB-1000S please. Thank you for contacting Humax, I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with your Humax equipment. We have been advised two weeks ago that there will be a fix for the YouTube search function, this will apply this month, we do not have an exact date.

Hello everyone and thank you for accepting me.
I too have the 1100s HDR and both the “back” function and “search” function do not work with YouTube.
I’m aware this problem has been present for months, my dilemma is I need another HDR in the wife’s craft room. Is there a fix available or should I look for some different hardware? Must admit, the build quality of Humax systems far surpasses anything else out there.
