Thanks to Barry I now have YT search but am I doing something else wrong? Once I play any YT video, I can then not return to ‘Home’ or ‘Search’, etc., just to mre videos that happen tp be already on screen. A new ‘Search’ seems to require a new entry to YT.

Just as an aside, has anyone had experience with the new 4k freesat recorder, which I believe is not made by Humax. I see that this new one has not got 4 on demand either.

It will not have either.
If you have a 4k TV it’s looking like, If you have G2 Humax box, you should stick with the box you already have.
Looking more and more like Freesat should have backed Humax 😯

Should my hdr-1100s software update automatically, to fix the YouTube search, or do I need to use the usb method?

I spoke too soon about youtube working after update. The search function now does work but like ‘tony.karma’ said, I have to close youtube then reopen it to make a search. In reply to ‘Bigkev’ I updated my hdr-1100s using the usb method. I tried for ages with the update suppled by humax, but it did’nt work. The ever helpful Barry on here then PM’d me with a update file that actually worked.

Has anyone tried to see if their “back”, “fast forward” or “rewind” button work ok with this update? I did mention this a while back & no reply. Maybe it is only my box with problem? Be interested to hear from others with same problem. The search function now works fine, but there is still a bug. The only solution is to stream via tablet, which I am doing, but it doesn’t fix the main fault totally. John L

Don’t you use the programmeable skip keys to skip the ads ?

Do you mean the ones on the original remote?
But have you tested the Back button? At the moment all you can do to exit is press exit & completely go out of Youtube, no option to return within Youtube menu. John L

Which Humax?
On my 4000t pressing stop takes you back to the YouTube homepage.
