InactiveSame problem with Beeb iplayer. All other Demand services available. Read somewhere that Humax are working on the issue. Have emailed Humax to see if there is a resolution date – no reply to date.
Before I realised there was a known problem I tried web advice to do a factory reset but that did not resolve the problem.
Hopefully this issue will be sorted soonest

InactiveWhat on earth is going on with Humax on-demand services.
Iplayer none functional for days and now Youtube stops too – re-directed to youtube.com, which provides nothing.
Bad enough we lost all4 some time ago. It’s now getting beyond a joke.

InactivePuzzled by your comment about All4. Not familiar with that one, but there is a working Channel 4 catchup service on my FVP5000T, which is called My4.

InactiveAll4 – C4 catchup does not, and has not funtioned on freesat for some time, and has been completely removed as a service for the platform.

The All4 app seems to be going through a half-baked “identity crisis” on my FVP 5000T. The app icon is a large colourful figure 4. The top level menu is headed as “My4”, and the majority of messages that come from the app continue refer to itself as “All4”.

Strange you should say that as all catchup TV is via the internet, not from Freesat or Freeview.

There is no “identity crisis”.
It is All4.
“My4” is where you can access (once signed into your account) your personal lists/favourites/watched items etc (my as in mine).

I can add myself to the list of those who are now experiencing the iPlayer content download problem AND the YouTube connection problem. Is there a separate thread for the YouTube problem? To quote from an earlier message in this thread:
YouTube through my box sometimes gives “you are being directed to youtube.com” and then shows 12 grey boxes. Sometimes, YouTube works fine.
Me too (sounds like a hashtag) i.e. iPlayer circles when trying to play the programme and youtube tries to redirect to youtube.com with the grey boxes.
In my case the receiver is an HB-1100S. The problems started about a week ago, after I restarted the box. Strangely, I had reset it a few times in the last couple of months to try to sort out a network problem.
I’ve tried doing a factory reset, but that doesn’t change anything.
Strangely, the software update date is 18 August 2018. That doesn’t make sense if the problem has been due to a recent software update.
The problem is very unlikely to have been caused by a software update on the boxes as it simultaneously affected multiple different boxes. What will have happened is a software update at either the BBC or Humax – if it was at Humax then that is appalling because it shows it wasn’t properly tested and then when discovered wasn’t rolled back immediately.
The above doesn’t of course mean that any fix won’t involve the updating of box software.

InactiveWell, whatever it is called, the Channel 4 catchup service was still working OK on the FVP5000T yesterday (I don’t know about now, as I have not tried it today).
Presumably iPlayer still does not work. I note with interest that Humax are acknowledging that the problem affects all of their boxes, whereas the BBC are still only saying “some”.

I was confused by the inconsistency of naming across similar apps. All4 is the app. My4 is one of the facilities it offers. My5 is an app. It offers live TV, and catch-up. Doh! My brain hurts. When do the pubs open?

InactiveI’m starting to think that Humax haven’t been paying their rent.

Inactive“When do the pubs open?”.
Not a good idea, I imagine social distancing from all the other frustrated Humax owners would be impossible.

InactiveHumax service announcement: – https://uk.humaxdigital.com/humax-service-announcements/
They mention “iPlayer on all Humax devices” but does “free to air customers” include Freesat because they don’t mention Freesat by name?
They also mention YouTube as no longer supported on some boxes but it should work on the HDR-1100S (Freesat) box but it doesn’t.
Still no iPlayer or YouTube on my HDR-1100S.
