InactiveTrying to get a copy of humaxrw so I can backup the recording from my 9300T to windows PC but every link fails. Any help appreciated.
Reason is my 9300T is poorly, keeps resetting, loosing recording schedule and only has 3 days on the program guide for some channels. Luckily it has a few months left on the warranty. So its going back but I want to save all of the recordings.
Thanks
Peter

InactiveJust went back to the forum and now the download worked. Do the downloads only work if you are a member/signed in?

InactiveHave tried to access the drive using both humaxrw and humaxcheck but not working. It is connected via a USB caddy and would be 3rd hard drive, do these programs only work when connected directly to a sata port on the PC?
C:Program Files (x86)Humax>humaxrw 4: -l
\.PhysicalDrive4: No such file or directory
C:Program Files (x86)Humax>humaxrw 3: -l
\.PhysicalDrive3: Permission denied
C:Program Files (x86)Humax>humaxcheck 2:
humaxcheck version 0.10W (c) xyz321
Writes to the Humax disk are disabled
Humax disk: Permission denied
C:Program Files (x86)Humax>humaxcheck 3:
humaxcheck version 0.10W (c) xyz321
Writes to the Humax disk are disabled
Humax disk: Permission denied
C:Program Files (x86)Humax>humaxcheck 4:
humaxcheck version 0.10W (c) xyz321
Writes to the Humax disk are disabled
Humax disk: No such file or directory
Any views?

A USB caddy should be OK. If you are running under later versions of Windows you need to start humaxrw from a command prompt that has administrative privileges. IF you don’t know how to do this please advise what version of Windows you are using.

InactiveThanks for the advice. Using Win 7. I rebooted as had run a Linux program before and the drivers may have interfered. Selected run as administrator and its working. I decided to move to another PC and that runs XP. working fine on this PC as well.
Could not get ts2hrw to run as could not find the arguments needed, this was to check for corrupted files before kicking off the copy to PC.
Well its copying now, using the humaxrw n: -g 20,23-26 command and its generating the 4 files for each recording. 160GB to copy so will be a few hours.
Regards Peter

InactiveThe copy process stopped after 5 recordings (20 files).
-l shows 88 recordings which was same as Humax list.
-i only shows details of 9 recordings.
Placed disc back into Humax and removed any file that had a lock/protect and found one that had a green no entry sign on it. found that to be half of a recording. Only way to delete was to select it first then delete.
Cleared all copied files from PC and started the copy again using -g 20,23-26.
Again stopped after 5 recordings/20 files. The recording numbers are quite random in the copy process.
Should I try -b to copy all files from humax disc to pc?

It does sound as though the file system is quite badly damaged.

Too long since I used humaxrw for me to offer useful advice beyond try it and see.

That isn’t the purpose of ts2hrw. Its purpose is having used recovery mode to copy files from the Humax to a PC to recreate .hre files on the PC so that recordings can subsequently be copied back to the Humax.

InactiveI used humaxrw -b n: and all files (.ts,.elu,.epg,.hre)copied (87 recordings x 4 files each) to the PC. It skipped any that had copied on the previous attempts.
Magic. Now I can send the unit away for repair.
Thanks for all help.

InactiveThe humaxrw-1.15-win32.zip file seems to be corrupt and won’t open. I have tried downloading it several times and have also tried opening the zip file in Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 7 without success. I receive messages such as: The Compressed (Zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.
I would be gratetful if this could be checked out and a replacement link provided.

Yup I get a CRC error when trying to extract the .exe from the .zip. If you send me a Private Message with your email address I will email you a copy of humaxrw.

InactiveHello All,
I am trying to retrieve a selection of much-loved recordings off a Humax 9300T with a very dead Power supply. I’ve got the HDD out of the case and from reading the info on this very helpful forum, it seems as if I need to use humaxrw.exe to access the information on the HDD.

Inactive……..sorry sent that too early

anyway I have tried downloading humaxrw from the link on myhumax.org but although I can download the zip file, when I try to extract it I get the error message below….
“HumaxRW.exe is not in the same folder as this exe. Quitting”
I’m not sure what this means (everything seems to be in the Downloads folder), but it means I can’t get to the next stage. Please could someone offer some advice as to what I might do to get past this error message and run the .exe.
Thanks for any help, support or sympathy.
Best wishes,
Rob
