ModeratorStrange only getting a part record, are you definitely sure it is tuned correctly, ie only receiving from one transmitter?

In general the radiation from relay transmitters is vertically polarised and that from main transmitters is horizontally polarised. This means it is not sufficient to simply point your aerial away from a relay to a main and expect to get a good signal, you also need to rotate the aerial on its longitudinal axis so the elements go from vertical (relay) to horizontal (main).

Inactivehi Biggles I should have stated I do rotate my aerial and change the polarity, when I first posted I mentioned I get a relay signal from Darwen etc, I’t is impssible to get winter hill because of my location

InactiveI have got all the info for a manual tune, it could be I’m getting something from Haslinden but it does not use the same Channels as Darwen, I know when I tune it in when it stops and it dosen’t stop at Haslinden’s numbers but I will try tonight when I get home but it won’t be before Come/Dine Damm

InactiveGot my channel numbers for my transmitter, I deleted all channels I tried to manually get it to load winter hills without me moving my aerial nothing, I tried to get to tune to Haslinden again nothing, then I tuned manually to Darwens all loaded OK I will try again tonight to record four/in/bed then come/dine but I think I’m loosing the battle I don’t believe it’s tuning in to more than one transmitter
