InactiveYes, you are right. I rechecked software levels on my HDR 2000T and they have not changed. It was my Sony TV that was updated. Back to Hannington I guess. Chan 32 still working.

Maybe related to the channel number changes due on 2 June. I am just guessing.
My guess was somewhat right, somewhat wrong:
Quote:Whenever we need to apply a new on screen notification (message at the top of the screen) we need to update the platform config. The platform config was changed to introduce a new on screen message, to say your subscription channels will be moving. Another platform config update then took place to change that message to, your subscription channels have now moved.[..]
The channel update itself didn’t need a change to the platform configuration.
A very cumbersome procedure, to accomplish something so simple. Tsk.

InactiveWell, it was good while it lasted. It worked perfectly for a week, but COM7 has gone awol again. No other mux signal strengths changed, and still fine on the TV. Most frustrating.

InactiveWent on hols for two weeks, came back yesterday and COM7 has vanished again. No signal on Chan 32 on my Humax box. Sony TV working ok.

InactiveSee what happens tomorrow, when the rain begins.

InactiveWell this is very odd.
Got home this afternoon to find that my Humax T2000
(I’ll be back) had lost ALL its channels, nothing, nada, zip…I manually tuned all the usual channels in and it even allowed COM7 Ch 32 to be tuned in so now I have those missing HD channels back.
Sadly I can’t remember all the programmes I had scheduled for recording (shame they can’t be backed up, there must be a data file somewhere with the info in)

InactiveThere was a retune “event” which if you don’t catch, will automatically default to the destructive option of “retune and wipe all my schedule” after a set time.
A major schoolboy programming error!!
I frequently power up the TV & Hummy when I get in, but don’t always select the Hummy input right away and have been hit by this in the past! Luckily I did see it last night.

Thanks for the explanation, I thought my box had developed a fault. How are we supposed to notice these events if they happen when I am at work.

InactiveI assume apart from the brief reappearance at the end of May, Com7 is still MIA for everyone else who was experiencing this problem and not just me?

InactiveYes, COM7 is still missing for me. I check Chan 32 every week or so but no sign of a signal.

InactiveIt does seem to have gone for the long term, but it’s strange it could be 60-65% signal strength one day and then gone again.

InactiveYes still missing for me and I also check every week or so. All this seemed to coincide with the arrival of Spike.
Not sure if this is related but prior to COM7 going down I had very poor reception on SKY News which was often unwatchable. Since loosing COM7, reception of this station has been greatly improved and I always get a decent enough signal.
A few weeks back there was a message or two which indicated that “Humax Towers” were interested. I take it they are not really bothered.

InactiveAll the COM7 TV channels have disappeared (a couple of months ago) from our Samsung TV in London (Crystal Palace tx).
There are lots of threads on TV forums about this general topic and I gather it is a combination of a low powered MUX combined with possible aerial/coax problems which result in the signal for this MUX being too low for many receivers.
Is there any evidence that the problem is any worse on Humax receivers than other manufacturer’s? If not, it doesn’t look as if the problem will go away all by itself.
