I too have 1.01.06 and the wifi dongle. But wifi is greyed out. Is there any chance of a link for software upgrade.
Thanks.

InactiveOut of interest, does the new Humax dongle support 5GHz WiFi in addition to 2.4GHz? Generally dongles using the Ralink 5572 chip set have this feature and the new Humax dongle uses this chip set.

InactiveHi
It looks like I’m yet another who has just bought one of these and found that it has a version of software too old to support the supplied WiFi dongle.
I have downloaded the latest version from the website (to make sure I can do it) but would appreciate a link to a version which will support the dongle.

Is it possible that some RT5572 dongles do support 5GHz and some don’t? In my ignorance I just presumed that as my RT5572 does then they all do.

Thanks Barry – much appreciated. Works a treat – it is a bit frustrating how long it is taking Humax to supply a box with software that will support the wifi dongle that they put in the box!

InactiveHi all, new to this. Have just got a 2000T and the wrong dongle in the box. After frustrating hours at home and in the shop, we finally found the right dongle to solve the greyed-out Wi-Fi setting. We now have internet access.
Now it says that it can’t connect to the TV Portal. I will try an extension lead for the dongle, but this is starting to make me think we’d be better off with Panasonic………

InactiveSame problem here – 2000T with 1.01.06 but wifi unavailable with the WNA699U8N3 dongle. Please could you send me the link for the updated software?
Many Thanks!

InactiveI got a new dongle from the shop and it now works, presumably because the software was compatible. It is a 150N dongle. Hope that helps.

InactiveI seem to be having the same issues as a lot of other people as my recently purchased 2000t will not recognise the accompanying wifi dongle even though I have updated to the latest firmware available on the humax website (1.01.06) and the ‘connect to wifi’ option is still greyed out. (it came supplied with 1.01.02 I think, or possibly 04)
Barry, would you be able to pm me the link to the latest firmware for the hdr 2000t.
Many thanks in advance.
