InactiveOnce I got the right file 😳 it worked straight away… and without playing with the power. Just pressed the button to put it in standby, inserted the stick, power button and V and away she went… the embarrassment of getting the wrong file to begin with is the only remaining problem…

Should work whatever way you have the box connected to your router. I take it the box has a IP address when you check the network settings. Direct cabling is the most reliable system. Your mobile of course has to be logged in by WiFi to your router.

InactiveEven if the USB upgrade process is not faulty, the fact that so many people are having problems with it surely means that Humax ought to look at redesigning or improving it in some way?

ModeratorSo many are having problems?
111 downloads of 2000T software to date and only a small number of users have had problems.
Cannot see how it could be improved it is simple enough now.

InactiveIt may be simple but some of the contributors to this thread have had real problems with it. Could they just be tip of an iceberg perhaps?

InactiveNow I must be missing something here, but has this latest update been applied via ‘over the air’. All postings I have seen speak of USB or internet updates.?

Unlike the HDR-2000T, the HDR-FOX does not require a button to be pressed, just plug in the USB stick and boot. If it ain’t broke..

That sounds a much better method…

InactiveThe advantage of the HDR-2000T method over the HDR-FOX T2’s method is when the USB pen drive is not removed before the restart. The HDR-FOX T2 will reinstall the software while the HDR-2000T will not.

No ‘over the air’ for this version.
A few weeks ago, when I last talked to the Humax support team, I was informed that there would be. Are you saying that there is currently no over the air broadcast or that currently there is no intention to do so?

InactiveMy 2000T picked up the update over the internet yesterday.
It just did it again today…..

No plans for this software version to be broadcast OTA.

InactiveGenerally very few Freeview OTA downloads listed here these days. Just Freesat ones.
