I have a talktalk “you view” box in my bedroom with WiFi connection to the same router this works perfectly could there be a problem sharing the signal?
Incidentally when I used the Talktalk box after trying the Humax there was a short delay in it accessing the Internet.
Shouldn’t make any difference. Check in the Network Setup options on each box that each box has a different IP address. Can you post what they are and the other parameters that they have ?

ModeratorJust checked again and all OK on both my 1800 and 2000T. Programmes partially played yesterday, resume option worked.

InactiveThanks for your efforts, the units have different IP addresses :-
Humax is 192.168.1.11 and Talktalk is 192.168.1.9
I’m not sure what you mean by other parameters but both units have the same subnet address 255.255.255.0, the same DNS and gateway address 192.168.11
Hope this helps

the same DNS and gateway address 192.168.11
I am assuming that should read 192.168.1.1. If so the parameters look fine. I would try putting the box into standby and then turning off the mains power for 10 seconds before restarting. The Humax network stack sometimes gets into an odd state and a power cycle should sort it out.

EDIT
Misread the post, you were referring to the gateway address

InactiveTried your suggestion but can’t even get to the I Player now, when I press the TV portal button all I get is the rotating radial lines indicating it is open then nothing.

InactiveTried again, can get as far as trying to stream a programme but get the usual “there has been a problem etc”

InactiveTry resetting your router and then, which the router has finished it’s boot, reboot your unit.

InactiveRebooted router and box, I thought it had worked as I got as far as the I player more quickly but as soon as I tried to “load” a programme I got the usual “there had been a problem try again later”

What does your TV support? I would suggest trying each of the settings and see what works.

If your TV is a High Definition one with a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen and you want the sharpest epg then the two 1080 options will give you the best epg. Anything lower the TV will have to rescale the epg up to the screen size. If you are watching a HD channel then using the lower figures will downscale the original content leaving the TV to scale it back up again, losing picture quality in each step.
This assumes you are using a hdmi connection.

576i should be the best option. You can also try 576p.
