InactiveYep, checked that also, it has only happened the once so not really an issue as long as it doesn’t keep happening.

InactiveIt does seem to come back at random moments – at least it does for me. But, as you say, no great deal really. R-

InactiveI’m getting the subs come up of their own accord every time I switch to another HDMI input and back to the Humax’s HDMI. Another really frustrating bug.
Subtitles are set to off in the settings.

Inactivesome TV’s will switch on subtitles automatically when Mute is pressed, which is quite useful. Some TV’s and AV receivers will mute the sound when inputs are switched to stop the popping noise.
I can only imagine that CEC is involved and trying to be too clever again by sending a signal to activate subtitles because of the muting that happens when switching hdmi inputs.
Just a thought… and if the problem can be replicated then it may be a matter of running through the various TV/AV menu options and switching off CEC if possible.

InactiveHi, I don’t have any CEC options – the TV is 9 years old.

Surely if it’s being clever by switching on subtitles it should also be clever and switch them off again. After all it would only need to save the current state before switching to restore it afterwards.
