InactiveHi
Has anyone experienced the schedule going missing? I had a whole bunch of recordings set up and most had been doing their thing for a few weeks then last night……boom blank list nothing there. All i did was turn it on……
Any Ideas
Andy

InactiveProbably the ‘automatic’ retune scheduled by Humax for the channels change 19th Sep (yesterday, 1300).
It will ask, if you’re there to see it, and then go ahead and do it anyway if you happen not to be there to see it.
That wipes the schedule, so it’s best to have a backup to recover from (see rs and custom software).
Note there will be another, provisionally booked for 17th October.

InactiveHumax have been told numerous times about this and that we do not like it.
The problem has been solved with Custom Firmware for at least the last 12 months.
I think Humax feel it is not important for them to fix it at their end, despite fixing it for Foxsat boxes a while ago.

InactiveI was left guessing what had happened to my schedule so my thanks to dandnsmith. My schedule took a long time to produce so this is very annoying. You suggest”it’s best to have a backup to recover from”. How do I do this?

The custom firmware mentioned above afaik has the capability to save your recording schedule (like the Foxsat-hdr custom firmware). Other than that take a photograph of the screen using a digital camera.

Yes, the custom firmware takes a daily backup of your recording schedule and allows you to restore it following a retune. It will also automatically follow changes in channel numbers etc. during the restore. You can take a manual backup at any time too.

InactiveVery helpful info on yesterday’s lost schedule..thanks very much.
Is it possible to stop the automatic retune? Can I switch this off, somehow?
Thanks.

Most information here

It does need your box and a PC connected to a home network.

To stop auto-retunes an alternative to the custom firmware (http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/non-custom-protection-from-ota.1842/) is to use software 1.2.20 and setup a daily reminder with a time of 4:20am to 4:40am. I’ve been using that technique for months with success.

InactiveIs there a list of the forthcoming dates of these re-tunes published anywhere, so we can be prepared for the next obliteration of our recording schedules?

ParticipantThere will be at least one more, probably in October (17th is currently proposed). The 19th Sept was supposed to change the HD channels lcn’s. They had to postpone due to an objection.
Best advice is keep an eye on this forum.

InactiveThanks Graham.
Could I just clarify something? If I want to disable auto retunes without using the custom firmware I can do so by setting up a daily reminder with a time of 4:20am to 4:40am, but ONLY if I revert to software 1.02.20? So in my case, having 1.02.28 installed, I can’t. Is that correct?
