    Yes I got the same and the Menu option to turn off the antenna power was greyed out.

    I resolved it by connecting to another aerial I have upstairs and this did not display the error message regarding short circuiting.

    I was then able to go to the antenna power menu and it was switched on as previous members said.

    Once turned off and back to the original aerial the error message had gone.

    This error can also occur if you already have a powered amplifier somewhere in the circuit, or have a new antenna fitted with a powered amp (the box may be in a loft and powered from a socket in there or maybe a power supply plugged in to a socket near the TV). In those instances you must turn off the antenna power on the Humax.

    @tellboy

    Why did you connect it to a different aerial?

    Does not just unplugging the aerial connection get rid of the error message?

    The original message was weak signal and no channels showing in the guide.

    Then the antenna short circuit message when I went to signal strength menu.

    At that point no options are available.

    Unplugging it I would just not be able to retune

    Anyway connecting to a know good aerial enabled me to retune with strength 10/10

    Then oddly going back without doing anything except having done the switching of power to aerial and reconnected gave 10/10 on the previous weak signal connection.
