InactiveYesterday and today, late in the evening, my aura just shutdown and rebooted. Not had this before that I recall. Anyone else having random shutdowns? I was watching a live program but slighty behind live (chase play?). Although I don’t see why that would be the cause.

InactiveYes I have had this twice in the last two weeks, as you say it happened in the early evening.I have a Humax HDR1000 Freesat pvr that occasionally does the same. Don’t use the HDR much now so not sure if it still does this.

InactiveI’ve had this several times in the past and have been watching a recording.
It’s annoying, especially when you are recording something as well!

InactiveI know Barry has said otherwise re support, but it has gone very quiet for a very long time from Humax. And considering what is going on in the rest of Europe I do realise that in the grand scheme of things…

InactiveSadly we’re starting to see this with our Humax Aura.
Watching live TV in the evening (usually with a recording taking place on another channel), the box appears to freeze before rebooting.
I’d guess it’s been happening once a week, although last week happened twice.

InactiveBeen happening to mine for months but when you contact Humax so called support they just say to do a factory reset then when you say this does not work it’s radio silence and no response.

InactiveJust started happening to me as well. Seems totally random. I thought it was just when using YouTube, but last night we were watching Plex, the picture froze and then it restarted.
The first time it was recording as well, but when it started up it resumed recording and ended up with a two part recording which is something I guess.
So far it has been 4 nights in a row that it has happened. Have to say, this is the first issue I have experienced with the Humax…. hopefully an update will sort it…..

InactiveI’ve had random reboots with BBC iPlayer.
Contacted support and reset the box. Has still rebooted, but maybe not as much.
Not holding my breath for any updates.

InactiveHumax could save money re support staff. They just play a recorded message instructing you to do a reset anytime that a customer phones. It seems that’s all they do anyway.

So true, ever watch the IT crowd?

InactiveMy Aura rebooted itself last night while chasing Pointless. Needless to say, the recording then failed and I had to catchup on iPlayer. I powered down the box for 10 minutes and OK atm. With other people reporting similar reboots, I wonder whether this is a failing power supply issue. It wouldn’t be the first time that poor quality wall warts fail prematurely.

InactiveWe had a failure last night at 21:55 while watching “The Split” on BBCHD, while it was recording the program at the same time.
We’ve had it a few times where it has crashed around 5 to 10 minutes before end of program finished.
It tends to be late evening when it crashes. This could align to the box running for a few hours, so may be over heating or something like that?
