InactiveThe last couple weeks I’ve had the odd issue where midway through watching a recorded program, I suddenly get the big white spinning wheel for a second or two before it quits back to live TV.
If I go back into the recordings list and select it again, it doesn’t ask me to continue watching just goes back to the start.
It seems to happen just commonly within an hour of the scheduled restart.
For all the issues with aura, the basic DVR features have always been rock solid previously. There’s not been any recent updates that might be causing this?

InactiveYes got the same its as if someone is hiding behind the sofa playing with a remote.
Programme stops goes to home screen ,then programme being watched goes back to start.
Also reboots now and then of its own accord annoying if your recording.
Carried out Freeview reset , delete cookies and update apps, only thing left is full factory reset but I don’t hold out much hope.
Its getting that I don’t trust it any more.
Come on Humax sort it out! With my firestick I seem to have updates waiting every time I switch on shame Humax cant do the same.

InactiveI’ve seen the same problem, but as with other posters only recently.
No Humax sourced updates so wondering if an Android update, or something else has installed in the background, that is not playing nicely with the Humax code?
I’m sure Humax are all over the issue like a rash …… 😉 😆

InactiveWe are having this problem with recordings at the moment as well. I know it happened a while ago and can’t remember how it was resolved – any suggestions which won’t erase our existing recordings?

How often is it happening? If it is several times a week then try doing a Freeview reset. Some people are using a timer switch to turn the power to the box off for a short time in the middle of the night which might be a viable solution; if you do this it would be a good idea to set a repeat recording for a short programme early in the morning eg a weather forecast as the first startup after a poweroff is significantly slower than the usual start up.

InactiveHaving this happen all of a sudden as well. Watching live tv and then it just stops and back to Home Screen. Same with recordings.

InactiveThis has been happening to many users since the system update last year. Humax said this is one of the things the new system update should fix. Whether it will or not remains to be seen.

InactiveThat update was April last year just FYI.

InactiveThe problem Humax need to fix is this one which is registered in the Crash Reports and the timestamp coincides with the playback quit and spinning circle (I believe the spinning circle is the App restarting post-crash):

Over the last few years I’d been told multiple times Humax had ceased development, no updates, etc – has this changed?
As a software developer I’d happily report bugs if I thought they would be listened to.. bellla are you somehow in contact with them?
